I think that the electric cars will help save money on gas but how much higher will your electric bill go up with electric cars? How much energy are these cars really taking? How much polution is being made from all the electricity being made in plants not on water turbins?

I think that electric cars will save people money because its better than paying the gas prices now a days. but are electric cars really better for the enviornment or not that is a good question.

Thanks for your input. Actually, I am skeptical about carbon capture. There’s an interesting article about “clean coal” in the February 2010 issue of Popular Mechanics. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/yer8ppa. One of its points is that carbon capture and sequestration would require a coal-fired power plant to burn 25% more coal while producing the same amount of electricity. That would mean much higher costs in mining and transportation and harmful byproducts.
